Da Nang International Airport to Launch Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) System from July 1, 2025

In an effort to enhance service quality, improve traffic flow, and reduce congestion, Da Nang International Airport will officially implement the Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system and continue cash toll collection at two access points Nguyen Van Linh and Duy Tan toll booths starting from July 1, 2025, following the Prime Minister’s directive in Decision No. 19/2020/QĐ-TTg.

1. Purpose of implementation
This is part of the airport’s digital transformation initiative aimed at:

• Minimizing traffic congestion.
• Reducing CO2 emissions.
• Ensuring transparency in toll collection.
• Enhancing convenience for vehicles entering and exiting the airport, especially during the peak summer travel season of 2025.

2. Toll booth lane structure
Nguyen Van Linh Booth:

• Lane 1 & 2: Mixed-use (accepting cash, cashless, and ETC)
• Lane 3 & 4: Automatic (ETC or cashless payment only)

Duy Tan Booth:

• Lane 5: Mixed-use
• Lane 6 & 7: Automatic

3. Payment methods for automatic lanes

• Valid ETC cards (VETC or VDTC ePass)
• QR code (via e-wallets or banking apps)
• Domestic NAPAS cards (tap to pay, no PIN required)

Note: To use automatic lanes, vehicles must have a valid ETC tag and sufficient balance. If not, drivers can still pay via QR code or domestic bank card using the POS devices installed at each lane (no PIN needed).

4. Recommendations for transport operators
Da Nang International Airport encourages taxi associations, passenger transport businesses, and travel companies to:

• Inform and train all drivers and vehicle owners under their management.
• Ensure ETC tags are installed on all fleet vehicles.
• Follow the guidance of toll booth staff, airport security, and relevant authorities for safe and smooth traffic flow.
