Da Nang welcomes first Emirates flight

On June 2, 2025, Da Nang International Airport officially welcomed flight EK370 from Emirates, departing from Dubai with a transit in Bangkok. This marks the airline’s first-ever presence in Da Nang and represents a significant step forward in expanding the city’s international air connectivity.

New connections, new opportunities
Flight EK370 operated on a wide-body Boeing 777 aircraft, carrying 333 international passengers and landing in Da Nang at 7:50 PM. This is the first in Emirates’ scheduled service of four weekly flights on the Dubai - Bangkok - Da Nang route, operating every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

By linking Da Nang directly to over 140 global destinations, this new route opens up opportunities to attract travelers from key markets such as the Middle East, Europe, North America, and Africa.

Mr. Trần Chí Cường, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, stated: “With Emirates’ global network, this new route not only boosts tourism but also creates greater potential for trade, investment, and cultural exchange.”

A warm welcome for the first passengers
Upon arrival, EK370 was greeted with a ceremonial water cannon salute. At the international arrival hall, passengers were welcomed with fresh flowers, local souvenirs, and a traditional cultural performance. This heartfelt gesture reflects Da Nang’s reputation as a warm, welcoming, and safe destination for visitors from around the world.

Mr. Nabil Sultan, Executive Vice President of Emirates, shared: “The launch of this route is an important part of our growth strategy in Southeast Asia and demonstrates our long-term commitment to connecting Vietnam to the world.”

The arrival of Emirates marks not only a milestone for aviation in Da Nang but also a positive signal for the city's tourism and economic sectors. It is a testament to the city’s ongoing efforts in developing infrastructure, enhancing service quality, and embracing a global vision for the future.

With this new route, travelers from Central Vietnam now have more convenient access to the world - and a new journey begins, right here at Da Nang International Airport.
