Da Nang and Bitdeer discuss investment opportunities in Vietnam’s first free trade zone

On April 21, 2025, Da Nang International Airport welcomed a working visit between the city’s leaders and BITDEER Group (Singapore). The meeting took place in a friendly and open atmosphere, as Da Nang is preparing for a new development phase with plans to build Vietnam’s first Free Trade Zone.

The meeting was led by Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, with representatives from the Middle Airport Authority, Da Nang International Airport, and various departments. From BITDEER Group, Mr. Alvin Chan – Global HR Director, and Ms. Sara Suo – Chief Operating Officer, were present.

BITDEER is a global tech company based in Singapore. It focuses on digital infrastructure, high-performance computing, and digital asset storage, with operations in many countries.

During the session, both sides discussed the idea of working together to build a special storage center for high-value items like artworks, jewelry, luxury watches, and gemstones. This center would not only provide storage and transport services but also offer space for exhibitions, auctions, and trading – serving collectors, investors, and global art and finance communities.

After the meeting, the BITDEER team visited the planned site for the Free Trade Zone at Da Nang International Airport. Thanks to its modern facilities, great location, and strong support from the local government, the site is seen as a great place to attract global investors like BITDEER.

If the cooperation moves forward, the Free Trade Zone will be developed right at Da Nang International Airport. It is expected to become a key center in the region for storing and trading valuable assets.
