Welcoming SCAT Airlines' First Flight from Kazakhstan to Da Nang
Da Nang, April 10, 2025 – This morning, Da Nang International Airport proudly welcomed the very first commercial flight from Kazakhstan, operated by SCAT Airlines. This marks an exciting step forward in connecting Da Nang with new international destinations and strengthening the city's growing role in global aviation.
Flight DV5340, operated with a modern Boeing 737-8, landed safely in Da Nang at 08:32 AM, carrying 213 passengers from Kazakhstan. This is the first flight in SCAT Airlines’ plan to expand in Vietnam, with support from Nam Anh Co., Ltd., the airline’s official legal representative in the country.
To celebrate the special occasion, the airport held a traditional water cannon salute, a warm and symbolic welcome often seen around the world for inaugural flights. It was not only a show of hospitality but also a message of friendship from Da Nang to our new partner in Central Asia. This flight is more than just a new route—it opens up fresh opportunities for travel, trade, and cultural exchange between Vietnam and Kazakhstan. It is also the first time a Kazakhstani airline has launched direct service to Central Vietnam, bringing more visitors to explore the beauty and charm of Da Nang.
In the future, SCAT Airlines will operate flights to Da Nang using Boeing 737 MAX 9 and Boeing 767-300 aircraft, helping carry both passengers and cargo between the two countries. This shows the airline’s strong commitment to long-term growth in Vietnam.
With the support of all partners and the rising demand from Central Asia, we believe this new route will become a strong connection that brings Da Nang closer to the world.
