Welcoming Philippine Airlines to Da Nang International Airport

On the morning of April 14, 2025, Da Nang International Airport had the honor of welcoming a delegation from Philippine Airlines for a working visit and terminal tour. The session was chaired by Mr. Le Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of Da Nang International Airport.

The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation, exchange information, and introduce each side’s operations. AHT representatives provided an overview of the airport’s infrastructure and resources, including check-in counters, self-service kiosks, and IT systems. These topics were also explored further during the delegation’s on-site survey of Terminal 2.

During the meeting, Da Nang International Airport shared key operational highlights:

• The airport handles 240–250 flights per day, increasing to 290–300 during peak seasons.
• Cebu Pacific currently operates a daily direct flight between Da Nang and Manila.
• As of April 9, 2025, Da Nang ranks 84th in Skytrax’s list of the world’s Top 100 Airports, up 10 places from 2024. It is also the only Vietnamese airport named among the Top 10 Best Airports in Asia, holding 9th place.
• Terminal 2 maintains its 5-star Skytrax rating, reflecting its service quality and passenger satisfaction.

Looking ahead, the airport is moving forward with key projects including a cargo terminal (designed for 100,000 tons per year, expected by the end of 2026) and the expansion of Terminal 1 to meet growing passenger demand.

The visit concluded in a warm, professional atmosphere, reinforcing the positive relationship between Da Nang International Airport and Philippine Airlines. The airport remains committed to supporting the airline and all future partners in developing successful operations at the gateway to Central Vietnam.
