Welcoming the first guests from Almaty to Da Nang

On the morning of April 2, 2025, flight VJ52 from Almaty (Kazakhstan), operated by an A330-300 aircraft, officially landed at Da Nang International Airport.
Nearly 300 international passengers arrived in Da Nang to visit and enjoy the city's travel services. This event marked another positive step in Da Nang’s efforts to expand international flight routes and attract more visitors from new and promising markets, especially in Central Asia.
A warm and joyful welcome
The welcome ceremony for the first direct flight from Almaty was held at the International Arrival Hall of Da Nang International Airport. The event was attended by representatives from the Da Nang Department of Tourism, Border Control, Middle Region Airport Authority, Da Nang International Airport, tour operators like Crystal Bay Tour and Rustar DMC Vietnam, as well as media outlets.
The celebration had a friendly and exciting atmosphere. As the aircraft arrived, a water cannon salute was held to welcome the flight. Inside the terminal, traditional Vietnamese performances made the event even more special. All passengers received flowers and conical hats as a warm welcome from the city. Many guests also took part in photo opportunities in beautifully decorated areas at the airport.
A new travel option from Kazakhstan
According to the plan, there will be four flights per week from Kazakhstan to Da Nang between April and October 2025. The Almaty – Da Nang route will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays, while the Astana – Da Nang route will run on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The expansion of direct flights from Kazakhstan’s major cities not only makes travel more convenient for international visitors but also enhances Da Nang’s visibility on the tourism map of Central Asia, opening up opportunities for further exchange and cooperation in the future.
